Camp Trip
WALT: Retell our time at camp
On the 21st All the year five-six students in room 10 5 & 6 all went on a camp to Hokianga and Opononi for three days and two nights. On the first day we went there it took a while to get there but before we went there we went to the wairere boulders, they were very big and there was a river flowing underneath the boulders it was all very cool except for the fact that the weather was raining down on us. When we got there and had unpacked we went to the beach to sketch the view I didn't finish though. When we got back we had a mini disco on the first night but I didn't participate. We went to bed at around 9:00pm but I only fell asleep at around 9:30 because people were talking.
The next day we went the 'Giant Sand Dunes' but I would say the ones up north are far bigger, but those ones were cooler. You would slide down the steep dune and then slide into the water which was so cool and deep. Then we had to get dressed and head to Tane Mahuta which was huge, there was a tour guide showing us around and then he told us a story of the Kauri Tree & the Whale it was cool. Then we went to the 'father of the forest' Te Matua Ngahere it was so cool.
The next day we had to pack up all of our belongings we put them away and then tidied the lost property and then we did some yoga and cleaned our area's my team had the boys toilets. Around an hour later we had finished I went to turn the lights off but it gave me a mini shock instead so I used my sleeve to turn it off. Another hour or so later we had to leave. In the van, I was in we were listening to music from Spotify but we had premium so we skipped lots. After, when we were at school we had to get our luggage and then the teachers said the winners of a mini competition we came second so I got a piece of chocolate that I gave to my cousin and her friend and my sisters.
I would rate that camp a 3&1/2 /5 my favourite part was when we went on the sand dunes I would say that cam was a lot more fun than last year!
